If you’re looking to explore the open trails of West Virginia, Open Trail Lodging is a great place to make your home base. We offer a range of amenities and comfortable accommodations, allowing you to relax while you’re not on the trail. Here, you’ll find West Virginia open trail rules, as well as resources to help you make the most of your time with us.
Ride your ATV/dirt bike 4.3 miles from our lodging directly to the Buffalo Mountain Trailhead "which offers 95 miles of the largest and challenging single track of ATV trails for the ride of your life."
We are an authorized vendor of Hatfield-McCoy permits (annual out-of-state $50 and in-state $26.50) and merchandise.

ATV Safety and awareness training is available between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at any DMV Regional Office.
Please be sure to pack accordingly.Pack your rain and cold weather gear expecting the worst, but hoping for the best. Please remember to bring good eye protection; the Trails can become very dusty.
